Client Spotlight - Ric Walton |
Ric Walton, owner of the Walton Insurance Group, was recently awarded the 2022 Faith F. Small Community Faithfulness Award from Spring Arbor University. This award recognizes individuals for their leadership in outstanding and selfless acts of compassion for the benefit of the greater Jackson community.
Over the years, Ric has served in numerous ways. He was Chairman of the Board for the United Way, Ella Sharp Museum, and Jackson Chamber of Commerce. He was a Board member for Jackson Community Foundation, OSB Community Bank, and numerous insurance company advisory boards, and was also one of the founders of the Enterprise Group in Jackson.
|
In his effort to benefit the Jackson community, Ric has done much to establish an environment for businesses to develop and thrive. He is a firm believer that business drives everything. “We need successful businesses to employee people, pay taxes, and give back to the community”, he said.
Ric pointed to his involvement with the Enterprise Group as an example of this. “Government makes it hard for businesses to succeed”, said Ric. The Enterprise Group helps business get established, navigate government bureaucracy, and create opportunities for business to flourish.
As a business owner himself, Ric strives to be successful so that he is able to give back to those less fortunate, especially children. He believes that children shouldn’t have to worry about being hungry, cold, safe at home, or feeling unwanted.
The Faith F. Small Community Faithfulness Award was established by Spring Arbor University to honor Faith F. Small as a board trustee member and to honor her legacy to the Jackson community. As former president, CEO, and owner at Dawlen Corporation, Faith F. Small gifted more than $13 million to various organizations in the Jackson area. Ric Walton carries on this legacy as a business owner and champion of a strong business environment, and through his service and compassion for the community.

Investment advisory services are offered through Raymond James Financial Services Advisors, Inc. Paramount Wealth Management is not a registered broker/dealer and is independent of Raymond James Financial Services.
The Forbes ranking of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data. Those advisors that are considered have a minimum of seven years of experience, and the algorithm weights factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and those that encompass best practices in their practices and approach to working with clients. Portfolio performance is not a criteria due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Out of approximately 34,925 nominations, more than 6,550 advisors received the award. This ranking is not indicative of an advisor's future performance, is not an endorsement, and may not be representative of individual clients' experience. Neither Raymond James nor any of its Financial Advisors or RIA firms pay a fee in exchange for this award/rating. Raymond James is not affiliated with Forbes or Shook Research, LLC.
