Baseball traditions – Fueled by Inspiration
Baseball’s Opening Day is March 27th and this father-son duo will be at Great American Ball Park cheering on the Cincinnati REDS! This year marks the 18th consecutive Opening Day for Tom, and the 17th for his son, Zac – continuing a tradition that spans generations.
Tom grew up in Indiana, just an hour from Cincinnati. He spent his childhood at Riverfront Stadium watching The Big Red Machine dominate baseball in the 1970s. His grandfather, Earl, was a devoted REDS fan and season ticket holder who attended an astounding 61 consecutive Opening Days.

Earl passed his love for the game down to Tom. That passion has since been passed on to Zac.
In addition to Opening Day, Tom and Zac are on a mission to visit every Major League Baseball stadium. This tradition began in 2008 when they traveled to New York to see a game at the original Yankee Stadium before it closed. That year they also checked off Shea Stadium (former home of the Mets) and Citizens Bank Park, where the Philadelphia Phillies play. This spring, they’ll add Coors Field to the list, watching the REDS take on the Colorado Rockies. Only 6 stadiums remain: Tampa Bay, Miami, Arizona, Seattle, San Francisco, and Las Vegas (once the Athletics relocate).
Our trademark at Paramount Wealth, Designed by Inspiration® , is about identifying what brings you joy, creating a plan to pursue it, and fully embracing the experiences that make life meaningful. For Tom and Zac, baseball isn’t just a game—it’s a way to connect, celebrate tradition, and live a life of true inspiration.

Don Hershberger CFP®, AIF®, CRC®, Founder and President, PWM, was named on the 2024 Forbes Top Wealth Advisor Best-in-State list.
The Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors 2024 ranking, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data. This ranking is based upon the period from 6/30/2022 to 6/30/2023 and was released on 4/3/2024. Those advisors that are considered have a minimum of seven years of experience, and the algorithm weighs factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and those that encompass best practices in their practices and approach to working with clients. Portfolio performance is not a criteria due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Out of approximately 44,990 nominations, roughly 8,500 advisors received the award. This ranking is not indicative of an advisor’s future performance, is not an endorsement, and may not be representative of individual clients’ experience.
