Don Named on Forbes 2023 Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list
For the fifth consecutive year, Paramount Wealth Management Founder and President, Don Hershberger, has been named on the Forbes list of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors. The list, which recognizes advisors from national, regional, and independent practices, was released online April 4, 2023. There were more than 39,000 nominations received, 165 were recognized in Michigan, including Don Hershberger.

The Shred Truck will be in the parking lot of our office located at 420 South Brown Street in Jackson. Stop by anytime between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm and enjoy FREE paper shredding on us!

In the past week, we have been notified by 3 clients that they have been a victim of identity theft or approached by fraudsters to divulge personal and account information. Please be aware that this remains an ongoing issue and that these scammers are active in our own community.

Client Spotlight- Ed Schimweg & Jan Vessa
Enroute to Antarctica they visited the Panama Canal, Peru, and Chile. Along with “regular” cruise ship entertainment and activities, Ed and Jan enjoyed lectures from experts in their field ranging from Jim Kennedy, former director of the Kennedy Space Center, and a man who climbed Mount Everest, to learning tips and tricks to better utilize an iPhone.
Ed and Jan traveled in February, putting them in Antarctica in the middle of the summer. It was in the low 30 degrees during their trip. There are no native people, permanent residents, or citizens of Antarctica. According to Aurora Expeditions, it is estimated that there are up to 5,000 scientists and researchers living in Antarctica during the summer (October to April) joined by some 45,000 tourists. The rest of the year the number drops to approximately 1,000 scientific staff only.
Upon arriving in Antarctica, the cruise ship anchored a mile out from land. Passengers used Zodiacs (small inflatable boats) to get to shore. Before leaving the ship, everyone had to wash their boots and have their clothing and pockets searched. This is due to concern that seeds and other vegetation in the Sub-Antarctic islands could easily be transported if clothing and boots were not thoroughly cleaned.
Ed and Jan currently reside in Arizona and have been clients for 17 years.

This year we welcome The Dangling Participles (Dang Ps), a jazzy indie-folk band who won the 2022 Lansing City Pulse newspaper’s “Top of the Town” award for Best Folk Artist/Band.
Come hang out with us on the Granary Patio at Ella Sharp Museum on August 25th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. This is a great opportunity to bring family or friends that you want to introduce to our practice!
Light snacks and soda will be served. A cash bar will also be available.
