Client Spotlight – Carolyn Bloodworth

On October 11, the Jackson Community Foundation announced the creation of the Carolyn A. Bloodworth Legacy Fund. The initial gift of $5,000 was given by the Consumers Energy Foundation in honor of Carolyn’s recent retirement. The Fund will strengthen and build the Jackson community through grantmaking to local charitable causes and students in Jackson County.

Carolyn retired after 42 years at Consumers Energy, the last 30 years as Executive Director of Corporate Giving. Her work included corporate philanthropy and coordination of various community relations activities, including volunteer engagement. Last year, Consumers Energy and the Consumers Energy Foundation gave eighteen and a half million dollars, focusing on people, the planet, and prosperity.

Carolyn is looking forward to spending more time in retirement with friends and family, especially her new baby granddaughter. She is also committed to raising funds to make sure the Carolyn A. Bloodworth Legacy Fund has the resources needed to be able to support the Jackson community.
